The Pulse of Politics: A Case Study of the "Nirbachon" Music Video Poster
"Nirbachon" is a social-drama short film that explores the complexities of local leadership and the human emotions involved in a political race. As the director and visual designer, my objective was to create a poster that feels "pop" and vibrant but also hints at the underlying tension of the plot.

Design Approach & Strategic Concept
1. Hero-Centric Composition:
The protagonist is placed at the center, waving his hand in a classic "leader-like" gesture. This pose immediately identifies the film's theme of an election. The characters are arranged in a triangular formation, with the protagonist at the peak, establishing him as the clear focus while showcasing the diverse supporting cast.2. Neon-Vibe Typography:
The Bengali title "নির্বাচন" is designed with a bold, rounded font and a bright pink neon-glow outline. This choice breaks the traditional "serious" look of political posters and adds a modern, digital-friendly "YouTube-era" aesthetic. It ensures the title is the most readable element, even on small mobile screens.3. Visual Metaphors & Setting:
In the background, I integrated urban elements like dilapidated buildings and flying election posters to ground the story in a realistic setting. At the bottom, I added a Barbed Wire silhouette—a powerful visual metaphor representing the boundaries, struggles, and the "thorny" path of the political journey.4. Saturated Color Grading:
I used a saturated and warm color palette. The pink shirt of the protagonist pops against the earthy, desaturated tones of the background. This "Color Pop" technique ensures that the central figure remains the focal point throughout the visual journey.5. Industry Standard Billing Block:
To give the poster a professional "Full-Feature Film" look, I meticulously designed the credit block and production logos (Unique Friendz). This builds trust and shows that the project is a serious media production.
Tools Used
Adobe Photoshop: Advanced Character Masking, Digital Lighting, and Color Balancing.
Typography Design: Custom neon glow effects and 3D layering.
